Last week Tubado spent two days training in Keswick with Tim Mosedale, four times Everest Summiteer and only the tenth Brit to summit Everest from both sides.
We stayed at Tim’s Bed & Breakfast, Elm Tree Lodge, in the center of Keswick. The accommodation was excellent, the rooms were extremely clean and the decor was to a very high standard; the bathrooms were again very clean and modern with excellent finishing touches such as toiletries, hand soap, shower gel and shampoo provided by The Soap Company based in Keswick. The locally sourced full English breakfast was delicious especially the large Cumberland sausage; the hosts at Elm Tree Lodge are very friendly & welcoming and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble.
Whilst out climbing with Tim he instructed us on safe working techniques and was always available offering advice. We spent the majority of our time at Shepherds Crag specifically on the Brown Slabs and Little Chamonix routes, all in all we had a great few days.
If you’re looking for an excellent Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Keswick you can not go wrong staying at Elm Tree Lodge. The website for which can be found at elmtreelodge-keswick.co.uk
